We are a cozy Japanese house-style inn in Matsumoto, Nagano. Fukashiso is decorated with a sunken hearth, a traveler’s guardian deity, and traditional Japanese art, for guests to enjoy true Japanese culture and our warm hospitality.

All of our rooms are Japanese-style with tatami flooring.

Dining at Fukashiso

Fukashiso is also a soba (buckwheat noodle) restaurant, so both guests and travelers alike can enjoy wonderful handmade Soba and Japanese cuisine made from fresh local ingredients.
Our restaurant is open from 11:30am to 2:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm every day.

Fukashiso is about 15 minutes from “Matsumoto I.C.” on the Chuo Expressway.

By Train

We offer a free pick-up service from Matsumoto Station.
